Founder
Owen Callahan is a licensed drone pilot, certified thermographer, and geothermal geologist with expertise in fault-hosted hydrothermal systems and hot spring travertine and sinter deposits. He has been involved with the geothermal energy sector since 2007, during which time he has participated in multimillion-dollar DOE projects in California, Oregon, and Nevada, regional assessments for public utilities, and greenfield exploration for venture-backed companies. He earned his doctoral degree researching interactions between hydrothermal alteration and fracture mechanics at The University of Texas at Austin and completed postdoctoral research involving fault-fracture networks, fluid flow, alteration, mineralization, and seismicity at the Bureau of Economic Geology and the University of Washington. Dr. Callahan founded En Échelon Geosolutions to support safe and responsible geothermal research, exploration, development, and monitoring.
